3. How have you taken something that you have learned in the classroom and integrated it into your nonacademic life?

I try to integrate what I have discussed from my Theory of Knowledge class about how the media controls the information we receive and how the media is not biased to question what I see in the cover of magazines or in the homepage of websites. For example, the issue of Time magazine of the first week of December portrayed a man with a gas mask and his fist in the air with the headline “Revolution Redux” in the magazines published in Europe, Asia and the South Pacific, while in the U.S.A. version there was a cartoon with the headline “Why anxiety is good for you.”
